About Last Man Stands
Last Man Stands was founded in 2005, in London, by Bjorn Briggs & Wayne Greve.
Last Man Stands is the widest reaching amateur cricket league in the world, bringing together like minded individuals from all walks of life, countries, religions, sex, and races, to enjoy this wonderful format of cricket. Last Man Stands is very easy to join.
This great social outdoor 8-a-side T20 cricket game lasts +/- 2 hours. All 8 wickets are needed to bowl a cricket team out. When the seventh wicket falls, the Last Man Stands on his own!

Each player receives cricket statistics and world rankings online. This allows teams to play cricket locally, and compare their performances to other LMS T20 cricket sides from around the world. All LMS teams receive Team World Rankings as well. Please visit our FAQ page to find out more.
The superb interactive website for amateur cricketers across the globe, gives the amateur cricketer the luxury of detailed stats and rankings, usually reserved for professionals - and is truly addictive. It's easy for skippers to organise a team & keep players coming back for more cricket! Fixture reminders are automatically sent out to the squad, and each player can build up his career stats and rankings which keeps cricket players coming back for more.
In 2012 approx. 30,000 players took part in LMS Twenty20 cricket leagues.

As the international organisation of the LastManStands format of cricket, and rights holders to the brand, trademark and rules, LMS will lead by:
- Increasing the amount of people playing LastManStands around the world regardless of nationality, race, creed, sex, or religion. LMS will develop the game to new & retired players in areas where cricket is already played as well as target new regions where there is no cricket played to ensure the growth of all formats of the game of cricket.
- LMS recognises that TEST CRICKET is the ultimate format of the game and hopes to develop future stars in all formats of the game.
- LMS envisions the LastManStands format of cricket as a perfect vehicle for the development and growth of cricket. LastManStands format has been designed specifically for amateur players. It's ideal for amateurs before they play serious club cricket, and after they retire from the rigours of all day cricket, and for social cricketer.
- Promoting and protecting the LastManStands format, brand and its truly unique social nature and spirit. Uniting and mixing of players from differing cultures & traditions.

LMS Future Goals
As the leading global amateur cricket league, LastManStands intends to seek partnership with global sports bodies, local sporting bodies and local councils to ensure that all have the chance to experience the game of cricket, and that the players' are able to link in socially to other LastManStands players’ from around the world, East to West and North to South.
LastManStands is currently supported fully by the E.C.B., and interested in developing similiar partnerships in other countries.
