Danny is one of the most decorated players in Sydney. Fresh off winning the Australian Champs in 2023 with Western Swingers, this trophy will be added to the 5 LMS Sydney titles he has already!
Danny is known for his excellent batting, opening the innings. The opposition often feels that if they get Batra out, they can go on with it! His consistency with the bat allows his teams to play their more aggressive styles of play which has led to the teams that Danny has played with to enjoy significant success.
Danny is rapidly approaching 15,000 LMS Runs. His career average is a remarkable 99.88 at a strike rate of 160+. Since debuting in 2010, Danny has posted years with an average over 100 on 6 occasions, highlighted by 1,228 runs at an average of 245 in 2022. Danny's prolific run scoring sees him currently sit 25th on the global run scorers list. Danny is number 10 in Australia and number 3 in Sydney. Danny has astonishingly scored over 50 runs in over 200 innings. This places him 6th globally, 2nd in Aus and number 1 in Sydney. Danny is currently only four 50's away from the top spot. Remarkably, he has played 245 fewer innings than the current number 1!
Whilst known more for his batting, Danny has over 250 LMS wickets at an average of 21 and economy of 6. This places him at just outside the top 10 on the Sydney All time wicket takers list.
Danny has been selected to be part of the LMS Australian Masters team heading to Barbados in February. This will be Danny's first international tour with LMS. We can't wait to see how Danny goes on the global stage!
