Jack Marsh Cup
THE JACK MARSH CUP – CELEBRATING INDIGENOUS CRICKET EXCELLENCE AT THE SYDNEY CRICKET GROUND
The 2015/6 Jack Marsh Cup, to be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground in February honours the legacy of cricket as an instrument for beneficial social change and improvement, and is aimed at helping to encourage grass route indigenous cricketing development across Australia. Jack Marsh was a courageous and determined pace bowler who struggled against the late 19th century perceptions of Indigenous sportsmen.
“The Jack Marsh Cup is a wonderful opportunity for young indigenous cricketers to show their talent and test their nerve on the greatest cricketing stage in Australia.†(Jim Maxwell, Primary Club President & respected ABC cricket commentator)
