The entrance fee covers all your team's match fees for the tournament and your team’s 2026 annual registration fee, which includes a R1000.00 clothing voucher for the LMS Shop. The clothing voucher will be valid between 1 Oct 2025 and 10 Dec 2026.

Tournament Format:
8 Pools of 4 (32 teams)

All the teams that finish 1st of their pool will qualify for the 1/2 final of the Main Cup
All the teams that finish 2nd of their pool will qualify for the 1/2 final of the Main Plate
All the teams that finish 3rd of their pool will qualify for the 1/2 final of the Cow Corner Cup
All the teams that finish 4th of their pool will qualify for the 1/2 final of the Cow Corner Plate

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

Qualification rules:
LMS Tournament organisers will only check the Winning teams on the below to ensure they are eligible for prizes. No teams will be disqualified if they fail to meet these rules, as it's an amateur social competition, however they will forfeit any prizes due.

National Champs Team Qualification Rule:

  • Any team taking part, must have played a minimum of 5 local league matches in 2025 before 15 November 2025

National Champs Player Qualification Rule:

  • Any players taking part must have played 5 regional league matches before 30 November 2025 for the same team entered into SA Champs.
  • The onus is on the Team Organiser to ensure that the LMS Player Profile (player selected) matches this rule.

Terms and Conditions

1.) Regular LMS Rules will apply as well as the above player and team qualifications. https://www.lastmanstands.com/rules
All teams must be in LMS Shirts, teams not in LMS shirts will forfeit the match. Shirts may only be purchased via the official LMS Shop

2.) The usual LMS rain rules will apply to any game that has started and the LMS official decision is final. Any teams refusing to play will forfeit the match should the LMS Official declare the field ready for play in a rain affected game.

If we are not able to reschedule a game the match will be marked as a tie.

If we are not able to finish a KO game, the team with the higher ranking will go through.

3.) We reserve the right to amend venues, tournament format, times and dates of any fixtures that are announced in the interest of the tournament. Our aim will always be to give each team as fair a chance as possible to win the tournament.

Further, if it rains before a game is started we may reduce overs for all games scheduled that day and amend the start times accordingly and dates of games accordingly.

4.) Teams must provide their own 1st aid and all players are responsible for their own health insurance and or medical aid

5.) Players can only play for one team at SA Champs

6.) All prizes may be withdrawn/cancelled by LMS South Africa at its sole discretion and at any stage should a Team to which it was awarded be found to have to have cheated and/or be found to have attempted to manipulate any LMS Event or a have conducted themselves in such a manner as to contravene the Player Code of Conduct of Last Man Stands. Prizes are not redeemable and cannot be transferred for cash or another other form/transferred to any other teams/persons nor is there any refund value.

  • Prizes are non-transferable and must be used in 2026
  • World Champs Vouchers may be swapped for Super Sport Bet - SA Champs 2026 entry.
  • Prizes will only be awarded to teams that comply with qualification criteria.

8.) Entrant/Participants and Team are solely responsible for travel, sport and entry insurance while travelling to and from as well as during the tournament, including insurance covering partial/full cancellation of the South African Champs due to any reason including acts of God.

Remember that you need to make it clear to your insurance company that you will be partaking in a cricket event to ensure you get full protection including partial/full cancellation of the tournament.

In the unlikely event that we are forced to change/cancel/partially cancel or terminate the tournament for any reason outside of our control, we regret we will be unable to make refunds nor pay any compensation or meet any costs or expenses you incur as a result. However, we will always endeavour to refund the cost of entry or a proportion thereof, where possible should the tournament be cancelled.

9.) A substitute fielder may only be used if a player is injured during a match. Once a player has left the field for an injury & a substitute fielder has come on, the injured player may not take the field again. For head injuries the ICC rules apply and a like for like player may be substituted.

10.) Teams not playing in the Main Cup KO, will at the discretion of tournament organisers play 10 over games.
