World Champs Terms & Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS for the LMS World Champs
These terms and conditions form part of the official entry into the LMS World Championships.
By entering and/or participating in the LMS World Championships, you consent to these terms and conditions. The team organiser further confirms and warrants that all participants are aware of the terms and conditions contained herein. LMS reserves the right to make amendments to the terms and conditions as and when required and deemed necessary.
Terms and conditions of play:

RULES & POINT SYSTEMS
The standard LastManStands.com rules and game point system will apply to the LMS World Championships, unless specified otherwise. All teams participating in the Event must wear official LMS Shirts.

TEAM ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the LMS World Champs, a team must have played a minimum of 5 official Last Man Stands matches between 1 Jan 2024 and 30 November 2024.

PLAYER QUALIFICATION
3.1) For a player to qualify for their team they must have played a minimum of 3 LMS matches for that side between 1 Jan 2024 and 18 November 2024 or have played 10 career games for the team they are representing and not be excluded as per the Player Exclusions A) and B) below.
3.2) Squads will be limited to a maximum of 12 players that can play in the event. In the event of your side having less than 8 fit players for a match, LMS HQ will assist and have the ultimate approval for additional players.
PLAYER EXCLUSIONS:
A) Contracted Players
No Player who is currently contracted to a team/squad that competes in a First Class, List A or T20 competition will be allowed to compete at World Champs 2023
B) Professional Players
If a player has played a match that has official First Class, List A or T20 status as defined by the most current ICC CLASSIFICATION OF OFFICIAL CRICKET since 1 January 2021 they will be considered a professional player and they will not be allowed to compete in the LMS World Championship.
Exceptions MIGHT be made if the player has played at least 10 games of Last Man Stands in 2023 for the team they will represent at World Champs 2023.
LMS HQ will have final approval over players eligibility to ensure the spirit of LMS is upheld.

MATCH DAY TEAM
The Match Day Team must only contain players who have been listed on Squad List unless agreed otherwise agreed in writing by the tournament organiser prior to the game taking place.
The Match Day team must be selected online a minimum of 2 hours before the scheduled start of the game.

EVENT STRUCTURE & DATES
The structure of the LMS World Championships, including, but not limited to group structures, prizes, team count, venues and dates may vary at the Organiser's sole discretion. Any variation may not be construed as a basis for return of entry fee, unless the Organiser agrees otherwise.
LMS reserves the right to make excecutive decisions on game times, dates and the outcome of a game or match points, based on the best interest's of completing the tournament.
5.1 Group Structure
Teams will be split into 7 groups of 4 with the top 2 teams from each group qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition. The two 3rd placed teams with the most points will also qualify for the knockout stages. In the event that points are equal for 2 or more teams the team that advances will decided in the following way.
1) Points
2) Wins
3) Net Run Rate
4) World Ranking

INSURANCE AND EVENT CANCELLATION (Partial or full)
The Entrant/Participants and Team are solely responsible for travel, sport and entry insurance while travelling to and from as well as during the LMS World Championships, including insurance covering partial/full cancellation of the LMS World Championships due to any reason including acts of God. Remember that you need to make it clear to your insurance company that you will be partaking in a cricket event to ensure you get full protection including partial/full cancellation of the LMS World Championships. In the unlikely event that we are forced to change/cancel/partially cancel or terminate the LMS World Championships for any reason outside of our control, we regret we may be unable to refund any fees paid to us.
Last Man Stands will offer the following as refund options in the event of the event being cancelled:

Transfer the entry fees paid to a subsequent LMS Tours Event of your choosing

Refund entry fees less any expenses incurred for LMS clothing/kit production
Last Man Stands will not be held liable for any expenses incurred for travel, accommodation or any other expense outside of the fees paid for entry into the LMS World Championships.

PRIZES
All prizes may be withdrawn/cancelled by Last Man Stands at its sole discretion and at any stage should a Team to which it was awarded be found to have cheated and/or be found to have attempted to manipulate any LMS World Championships or a have conducted themselves in such a manner as to contravene the Player Code of Conduct of Last Man Stands.
Prizes are not redeemable and cannot be transferred for cash or another other form/transferred to any other teams/persons nor is there any refund value.

GENERAL TRAVEL
It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all the participants are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure, as well as ensuring you meet any entry government requirements required by any country or jurisdiction that you may enter while travelling to or during the event. The Organiser cannot accept any liability if you are refused entry onto any transport or into any country due to failure on your part to carry correct documentation. If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on Last Man Stands, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly. In the event the Organiser is asked to reissue tickets that have been lost, destroyed or stolen and we agree to do so, any charges incurred as a result of this will be payable by you. No refunds shall be provided should travel visas or the like be refused. The onus is on the travelling party to ensure they obtain sufficient visas for travel.

CLOTHING
All Teams may only play in the official Last Man Stands clothing. The Last Man Stands logos as well as any sponsors logos are trademarked property and may not be reproduced without written permission.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The Team agrees to participate in the LMS Tours Event and have read and understood the Rules and Regulations of the event and all that it entails. The Entrant confirms that he/she/it is authorised by the Team to declare that the Team agrees to abide by the Rules and Regulations contained in the links below:
and any ruling made from time to time by the Organisers as well as the terms and conditions contained herein. In the event that there is a contradiction between the Rules and Regulations and the terms and conditions contained herein, then these terms and conditions shall apply.
The Team acknowledges and accepts that cricket can be a dangerous sport and that accidents causing death, bodily injury, disability, loss or damage, including property damage, can occur. The Entrant, as well as each and every participant, accept these risks. By participating in the LMS Tours Event, the Entrant, hereby irrevocably indemnifies and keeps indemnified the Organiser, its franchises, directors, employees and third party agents against all loss (consequential or otherwise), damage, injury and or death, costs including legal costs, interest and expenses which the Organiser, its franchises, directors, employees and third party agents may hereafter be held liable for, pay, incur or sustain in connection with any action, proceedings or claim being instituted against it by any party whomsoever, including the legal guardian of the minor child, directly or indirectly arising from or related to the use of all the Event facilities in respect of all Participants involved in the Team including all minors. The Organiser will not be held liable for any injuries or damages (consequential or otherwise) that occurs to you, or your Team, your property or that of a 3rd party during the Event. Look after yourselves and each other.
The Entrant, Participants and Organisers are independent contracting parties, and nothing contained in this agreement shall be deemed to create a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between them, or grant any party any authority to assume or create any obligation on behalf of, or in the name of the other.
11. RAIN
In the event of rain affected games and rained out matches no refunds will be given.
LMS reserves the right to amend fixture times & amend the amount of overs before, during and after a game.
The tournament directors decision is final.
12. GENERAL
The Entrant/ Participants and Team further consent to Organiser utilising any photographs, video footage or the like in its social media posts, marketing media or equivalent in perpetuity, across the world and without consideration.
The Organiser reserves the right to amend any of the aforementioned terms and conditions at any stage including the dates of the LMS Tours Event, its structure, fixtures, prizes and/or venue. It is the responsibility of the Entrant to ensure that he/she/it as well as the Team remains up to date with amendments.
